- Bioinformatics in psychiatric genetics. Study of
gene structures of schizophrenia susceptibility genes (e.g. DTNBP1), on the design and establishment of a comprehensive bioinformatics system
to efficiently manage various types of data, and on the development of computational tools for lab experimental support (e.g. PCR primer
design, selection of candidate genes or genetic markers). Data integration.
- Genetic variations and CpG islands in mammalian genomes. We are investigating the
molecular mechanims and genetic variation patterns using a comparative genomics approach.
We are also interested in revealing the common/unique patterns of DNA polymorphisms, genotype and haplotype within and
between human subpopulations and fixed mutations among species. CpG island evolution in mammlian genomes
- Protein-protein interactions. Computational method development and in silico identification of protein-protein
interactions; network analysis of disease genes
